Parade's Grand Marshall

The Farmington Dew Days Parade© is proud to announce that this year's Grand Marshall is Sammy Schmitz!  Sammy is famous around town as the local amateur golfer who was invited to play at the Masters Golf Tournament this year.  We are proud to have Sammy as a member of the community and excited that he has agreed to be our Grand Marshall in this year's parade.  Make sure you come out and give him a wave!

Volunteers Needed

Farmington Dew Days is looking for volunteers.  If you'd like to participate in the Farmington Dew Days© celebration, please feel free to Contact Darla Donnelly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and volunteer your services!  We need people to assist in many areas, such as selling bingo tickets at the Beer, Brats & Bingo, taking admission to the Flavors of Farmington and many other areas of the overall Dew Days celebration.

Dakota City Heritage Village

Have fun on Friday, June 17, during Farmington's Dew Days and take a trip back in time to Dakota City Heritage Village! With your tour guide, enjoy a relaxing day as you visit selected buildings in the village and meet the villagers, who help the children with hands-on activities. Enjoy playing vintage games, watch the blacksmith at work in his forge or the woodworker in his shop, withdraw money at the bank to spend shopping at the General Store, and more. Start your trip back in time when you buy your ticket at the gate, then stroll through the museum and see horse-drawn buggies and farm machinery from the good ol’ days before you meet your costumed guide who will lead you through the village buildings. Bring your own lunch and have a picnic on our village grounds. A ticket and guide are needed to be in the village.

There will be two Family & Friends Fun Days this summer during Dew Days on June 17, and July 22. The village will be open for a guided tour from 10:00am – 12:00pm, with tours starting every half hour between 10:00 and noon. The last tour starts at noon, with the village closing after that tour is finished. Each tour is approximately 90 minutes long, with a costumed guide. Tickets cost $5 per person age 3 and up, and they can be purchased in our office on the day of the tour. Everyone must have a ticket and be with a guide to be in the village that day.

Dew Days 2016

This year's festivities will start with the Farmington Royalty Ambassador Coronation on June 14, followed by Flavors of Farmington on June 15 and then by Beer, Brats & Bingo on the 16.

We continue on from there with the parades, games, contests, concerts and all of the other fun events and activities you love and expect from Farmington Dew Days©!  Keep an eye out for the full list of events which will be posted closer to the event.

In the meantime, please feel free to visit the Farmington Dew Days Facebook site and enjoy photos from last year's Dew Days.
